 - UFC.com has an article up noting that Forrest Griffin's book "Got Fight – The 50 Zen Principles of Hand-to-Face Combat”, co-authored by Erich Krauss, is at number eight on the New York Times Best Seller List for Hardcover Advice books.
“You can hope, but you never know,” Griffin stated about the book's success. “We all like to be listened to in conversation, so for people to actually spend money to find out your thoughts on stuff is a very flattering concept. I thought that it might just get lost in the shuffle of there being so many fighters’ books. Now, it having the success it has, I’m almost thinking, man, if I had really tried, I could have really written a good book.”

- MMAWeekly.com is reporting that Jamie Varner, who had verbally agreed to a rematch with Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, may not be able to fight for awhile. Varner, who had suffered a broken hand, a broken foot, and a broken blood vessel in his eye in the first fight with Cerrone had hoped to return to action in September. However, Varner noted on his Twitter account that he had learned from his doctor that his hand is still fractured. Dave Sholler, the WEC's Director of Public Relations, told MMAWeekly.com that there is no immediate timetable for his return. There is a chance that the WEC may introduce an interim lightweight title in Varner's absence.
- MMAWeekly.com is also reporting that heavyweights Todd Duffee and Mike Russow will square off at UFC 102 in August. Both Duffee and Russow will be making their UFC debuts.
