 Tim Sylvia has to be having his worst week ever. After suffering a 10 second knockout loss to Ray Mercer this past Saturday at Adrenaline III, Affliction pulled the former UFC Heavyweight Champion from his scheduled bout with Paul Buentello at Affliction: Trilogy, costing "The Maine-iac" a big payday. To add insult to injury, Ray Mercer had some choice post-fight comments for his opponent.
“I whooped that ass," Mercer told CBS42. "I mastered my game and his. No days to train, two days notice. You ain’t shit, Tim!"
The verbal onslaught didn't stop there.
"The underdog always comes out on top," Mercer continued. "They tried to take it from me by making me fight this shit. I trained eight weeks for a boxing match and they gave me two days notice (to fight MMA). I need money, so I knocked a motherf@!ker OUT!”
