 - Diego Sanchez announced on his MySpace that he has earned his Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt: "Yesterday, I became an official Saulo Ribeiro Brown Belt. I am honored to finally be a part of REAL Gracie BJJ after Royler Gracie tied my brown belt after Saulo promoted me. The icing on the cake was that my hero Rickson Gracie was there watching me and congratulated me!!!" Sanchez faces Clay Guida at The Ultimate Fighter Season 9 Finale on June 20th.
- A bantamweight bout between Jeff Curran and Takeya Mizugaki for WEC 42 is now official. The event will take place at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada and is headlined with a bantamweight championship fight between champion Miguel Torres and top contender Brian Bowles. Mizugaki is coming off a unanimous decision loss to bantamweight champion Miguel Torres at WEC 40 this past April, while Curran is coming off a loss to Joseph Benavidez at WEC 40.
