 With big performances at UFC 98, Matt Hughes, Matt Serra, Lyoto Machida and Brock Larson all earned additional bonuses following their fights. Each fighter earned $60,000 a piece for their efforts.
In a bitter and long awaited grudge match, both Matt Hughes and Matt Serra finally got to fight each other after years of trash talking and earned “Fight of the Night” efforts.
“Submission of the Night” went to former WEC veteran Brock Larson following his arm-triangle submission over submission specialist, Mike Pyle.
Last but not least, of course the “Knockout of the Night” had to go to the new UFC light heavyweight champion, Lyoto Machida.
