 TUF 5 lightweight finalist Manny Gamburyan will make his WEC and featherweight debut against Jon Franchi at WEC 41 in June. WEC 41 features a featherweight title rematch between current champ Mike Brown and former belt-holder Urijah Faber.
Gamburyan decided to drop to featherweight after suffering back to back losses to Rob Emerson at UFC 87 and his most recent loss to Thiago Tavares at UFC 94. Gamburyan exited the UFC with a 2-3 record and he holds an overall MMA record of 8-4.
Franchi has gone 5-0 Since opening his MMA career in 2007. Franchi is coming off a decision win over Mike Budnik at March's "WEC 39: Brown vs. Garcia."
