 Light heavyweights Eliot Marshall and Mike Ciesnolevicz are set to fight on the undercard of UFC 97: “Redemption”. Both Marshall and Ciesnolevicz are coming off of successful octagon debuts.
The former TUF 8 competitor Marshall is coming off of a submission victory over cast mate Jules Bruchez at TUF 8 finale on December 13. Meanwhile, Ciesnolevicz recently fought at UFC 95 “Sanchez vs. Stevenson” where he submitted Neil Grove by a very nasty heel hook.
The near complete UFC 97 event takes place on April 18 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The main event features dominant UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, defending his 185-pound title against number one division contender, Thales Leites. In the co-main event, Mauricio Rua will challenge former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell.
