 UFC lightweight Manny Gamburyan has decided to drop to featherweight and compete in the WEC's marquee division. Gamburyan expects to make his WEC debut in May or June.
Gamburyan was first approached about the move by Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta after his loss to Rob Emerson at UFC 87, who expressed their desire to see Gamburyan compete at a weight more conducive to his frame. Gamburyan wasn't convinced to make the move until his loss to Thiago Tavares at UFC 94.
