 Tyson Griffin vs. Rafael Dos Anjos is currently in the works for UFC Fight Night 18 on April 1 and contracts are expected to be signed this week according to a source close to the negotiations.
The news was first reported by MMAWeekly.
Griffin (12-2), is coming off of a hard fought loss to former UFC lightweight champion and top contender Sean Sherk this past October and looks to right the ship in a stacked UFC lightweight division.
Dos Anjos (11-3), is a Gracie Fusion product who made his UFC debut at UFC 91 against Jeremy Stephens. The high level grappler was performing very well until being caught with a vicious uppercut that sent him to the canvas, ending the fight.
Ultimate Fight Night 18 will take place on April 1 in Nashville, Tenn. and will serve as a lead in to the ninth season of the UFC and Spike TV's immensely popular reality show, The Ultimate Fighter.
