 With Wanderlei Silva out of Chuck Liddell's radar for now, another former Chute Boxe fighter will have an opportunity to knock off the former UFC Light Heavyweight champion. UFC President Dana White announced yesterday that Mauricio "Shogun" Run will fight against Chuck Liddell at UFC 97.
Both Rua and Liddell were supposed to meet at UFC 85 but injuries to both prevented the fight from taking place, but with Rua's win at UFC 93 over Mark Coleman, White saw it fit to re-book the match.
Many agree that it will pose as an interesting match-up as Liddell is nearing retirement and Rua has looked less than stellar in his two UFC fights.
