 Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin was rumored to be out of commission for most if not all of 2009 because of a hand injury that he suffered in his loss to Rashad Evans at UFC 92.
The original rumor appears to be incorrect though as MMAWeekly is reporting that Griffin could return as early as this summer.
Knowing how competitive the former champion is, he'll want to get back in the Octagon as soon as possible so that he can work himself back up to another title fight.
With Griffin's current standing in the UFC's Light Heavyweight division, many assume that it would only take one or two wins for Griffin to get another crack at the gold.
