Keith Jardine vs. Luis Cane At UFC 97
Keith Jardine vs. Luis Cane At UFC 97Keith Jardine and Luis Cane could be set to battle on April 18 at UFC 97 from The Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Our friends over at MMABay.com were the first to break the news and Fightline.com subsequently confirmed the story with a source close to the fight.

Cane is coming off of a very impressive victory over Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou earning a TKO in the second round of their fight at UFC 89.

Jardine is coming off of two Jekyll and Hyde performances which saw him best Chuck Liddell in a three round decision before falling victim to a brutal Wanderlei Silva knockout in his last outing. It was thought that Jardine/Liddell II could be on the horizon after Liddell himself stated the fight was likely, but it would appear that the UFC has other plans for Liddell; who will now face either Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, Forrest Griffin, or Wanderlei Silva in March according to UFC president Dana White.

UFC 97 is set to showcase a middleweight championship fight between fellow Brazilians Anderson Silva and Thales Leites.
