Round 2: They started the round swinging with Diaz getting the better of it. He knocked Denny to the ground and nailed him with a flurry of punches prompting referee Josh Rosenthal to stop the fight.

Winner via TKO (strikes) in Round 2: Nick Diaz

EXC Middleweight Title
“Ruthless” Robbie Lawler (c) vs. Scott Smith

Round 1: The two started off standing and then got into the clinch. Everything Lawler was dropping was being answered by Smith. Lawler hit some nice kicks late in the round. In the last minute Smith came out with an impressive flurry of kicks and punches which stole the round for Smith. 10-9 Smith.

Round 2: It started off as a slugfest. Smith got a cut on the forehead. Both men were doing damage here. Finally Lawler knocked Smith to the ground and dropped some good shots and knees to the body prompting referee Herb Dean to call it.

Winner via TKO (strikes) at 2:25 in Round 2 and still EXC Middleweight Champion: “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler

David Douglas vs. Marlon Matias

Round 1: Matias and Douglas started swinging for the fences right off the bad and Douglas caught him with a big right, knocking Matias to the canvas. Douglas then landed a flurry of punches and the fight was stopped just seconds into Round 1.

Winner via TKO (strikes) at 0:12 in Round 1 : David Douglas

Jeremy Freitag vs. Anthony Ruiz

Round 1: The fight started standing and Ruiz got the better of it. Late in the round Ruiz was able to take Freitag to the ground and tried for an armbar and went for a guillotine but Freitag was able to pop out to finish the round. 10-9 for Ruiz.

Round 2: Freitag came out swinging and landed some hard shots on Ruiz. The round was mostly spent on the ground with Freitag having Ruiz in a headlock. The rest of the round was Ruiz trying to secure a rear naked choke on Freitag. 10-9 Ruiz.

Round 3: The fight was spent mostly on the ground with Freitag dominating but he was unable to put Ruiz away. 10 - 9 Freitag.

Winner via unanimous decision (29-28): Anthony Ruiz
