 Fanhouse is reporting that Strikeforce middleweight champion Cung Le will not return to the cage until sometime in 2009. According to Fanhouse, Strikeforce VP, Mike Afromowitz confirmed that Le will be back in 2009 but neither a date or opponent has been determined.
Le, 36, last competed back in March where he defeated former champion and MMA legend Frank Shamrock.
The reason behind Le’s extended break is because of a new movie that he’s filming in Berlin called Pandorum.
Already with six movies under his belt, Le has three more on the way. It’s clear that Le has his post-fight career mapped out but he still has some unfinished business in the cage.
