It is being reported that former Olympic wrestler Muhammad “Mo” Lawal is going to compete at World Victory Road’s Sengoku 5 against MMA veteran Travis Wiuff. Lawal has been training with Team Quest, and he recently just missed the 2008 Olympic games by finishing second in the trials.
Wiuff recently confirmed the fight with MMAWeekly. It’ll obviously be an interesting match-up as Lawal’s stand-up will be questioned just like any other wrestler.
With Olympic caliber wrestling, there will be no doubt about where Lawal wants the fight to go, the question is whether or not he’ll be able to get it there.
