 It is being reported that EliteXC officials are considering a fight between lightweights Nick Diaz and Eddie Alvarez to crown a new EliteXC lightweight champion. Former champion KJ Noons was stripped of his title this past Friday because of him not wanting to fight Diaz in a re-match.
Regardless of what match-up EliteXC officials decide on to crown a new champion, there’s no doubt that Nick Diaz will be one of the fighters.
According to Sam Caplan of FiveOuncesofPain, the showdown will most likely take place on EliteXC’s November fight card which will air on Showtime.
