Yuki Sasaki will take on Yuki Kondo in the first round of the Grand Prix. The other quarter final announced by Sengoku features the always entertaining Evangelista Santos "Cyborg" taking on the reigning 183 lb Shooto champion Siyar Bahadurzada. Opponents have yet to be named for Kazuhiro Nakamura and Jorge Santiago who have confirmed their participation in the Grand Prix. According to World Victory Road President Takahiro Kokuho,the mystery opponents will be an American and a South Korean. Similar to the format of the ongoing Lightweight Grand Prix the winner of the Middleweight tournament will eventually face off against Kazuo Misaki to determine the first Middleweight champion of Sengoku.

Sengoku also announced a lightweight bout between Ryan Schultz and Jorge Masvidal for Sengoku 5. Both men are coming off upset losses in the first round of the Sengoku Lightweight Grand Prix. The winner of the bout will be added into the Lightweight reserve match for the finals of the tournament.
