 MMAWeekly is reporting that Mark Munoz has pulled out of his bout against Steve Steinbess due to an undisclosed injury. WEC 36 takes place Sept. 10th at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. It was widely rumored to be a "winner stays, loser goes" match being that the 185lb. and 205lb. weight-classes of the WEC will soon be absorbed into the UFC.
The former NCAA champion from Oklahoma State most recently defeated Chuck Grigsby at WEC 34 in Sacramento.
Steinbess, who trains out of Arizona Combat Sports, may still be on the card, but a new opponent has yet to be announced.
