Dewees Signs Multi-Fight Deal With Affliction
Dewees Signs Multi-Fight Deal With AfflictionAlthough he was just supposed to be a replacement for Vernon White, MMA veteran and "TUF" alum Edwin "Babyface" Dewees has just confirmed he has signed a multi-fight deal with Affliction. As previously reported, he will be fighting Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at the upstart promotion's debut show, which will be taking place July 19 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

The exact details of the agreement have not yet been released.

Dewees had this to say about the signing: "This is obviously a great opportunity for me. Affliction has done an unbelievable job in organizing a world-class event, with some of the biggest names in the sport on the fight card." The Lion's Den trained Dewees is coming off a submission victory over Richard Blake in April. Before that win, Dewees had suffered four straight losses and will be facing one of his toughest challenges when he battles the former PRIDE star Nogueira.

"Affliction: Banned" features a main event of Fedor Emelianenko vs. Tim Sylvia, and boasts a fight card featuring the likes of Andrei Arlovski, Ben Rothwell, and Josh Barnett.
