Justin Levens Tests Positive For Oxymorphone
Justin Levens Tests Positive For OxymorphoneAlthough time constraints didn't permit the bout to happen for Justin Levens and Ray Lazama at Affliction: Banned, that didn't stop the California State Athletic Commission from testing the fighters for "Banned" substances, and in the end Levens tested positive for oxymorphone, a pain-relief medication.

The CSAC is one of only a few states that test all competitors rather than take random samples.

According to Bill Douglas of the CSAC, Levens' test showed the presence of 10,141 ng/mL of oxymorphone. The limit in California is 120ng/ml.

The former UFC, WEC, and IFL veteran Levens, was looking to snap a five-fight losing streak. He'll have to wait a little longer now, as the CSAC has suspended him from competition for six months; he was also fined $1,000. The Levens bout was added to the card to draw in some local fans.

The UFC's James Irvin also tested positive for oxymorphone after his fight with Anderson Silva that same night.
