As we reported yesterday, UFC 89 is set to take place in Birmingham, England on October 18 and will feature a main event match up of Chris Leben vs. Michael Bisping. Today, Dave Meltzer is reporting that the event will be televised for free on Spike TV with a major UFC event planned for a week after that on Saturday, October 25.
Also announced today, MMAWeekly.com is reporting that a stellar welterweight contest between Thiago Alves and Diego Sanchez is in the works and will likely take place at UFC 89.
