 Undefeated featherweight John Franchi, a standout in Northeast MMA promotions World Championship Fighting out of Wilminton, Mass., and Full Force Productions, also out of Mass., has signed a five fight deal with the Zuffa owned WEC organization.
The "Team Bombsquad" member is the second to be signed by a major promotion this week, with teammate Jon Jones also inking a deal this week with the UFC.
Franchi most recently fought in the IFL where he defeated Frank Latina via rean-naked choke only 2:19 into the fight.
No date has been set as of right now for Franchi's promotional debut, but it is expected to be before the end of the year.
