 For those in the know, welterweight Hector Lombard (16-2) is a serious MMA prospect. The former Cuban Olympic Judo player recently signed on with EliteXC after being courted by other promotions, including the UFC; and will look to make an impact on the US MMA scene with his EliteXC debut at the upcoming ShowXC event scheduled for August 15.
Lombard doesn't have an opponent scheduled as of yet, but sources close to the fight informed Fightline.com that several opponents have been targeted for the August 15 date.
Other fights lined up for the event include the EliteXC debut of Muy Thai specialist Cyrille Diabate.
