Bisping vs. Leben Set for UFC 89 in October
Bisping vs. Leben Set for UFC 89 in OctoberSetanta Sports in the UK is reporting that Michael Bisping and Chris Leben have agreed to fight at UFC 89 in the UFC’s return to England. The fight was originally scheduled for UFC 85 earlier this month but because of a probation issue that had Leben incarcerated, Jason Day was signed to replace him. It looks like the UFC is starting the Bisping vs. Silva propaganda as current UFC Middleweight Champ Anderson Silva is also rumored to be headlining the card against Yushin Okami.

Bisping looked great against Jason Day at UFC 85 in his second match at 185. That performance led many to believe that he could possibly be a contender for the Middleweight crown but Leben will pose as a tough test to see if he’s a legit contender.

Here’s an excerpt from Setanta Sports:

“The UFC will return to England, to Birmingham’s NIA, on October 19,” Zelaznik said on Setanta Sports’ “Ultimate Talk” show, which airs every Thursday.

“Two of our amazing fighters, Michael Bisping and Chris Leben, have just agreed to fight.

“Everyone knows about Leben’s striking power, and it’s the strike fest everyone wants. It’s the fight everyone wants to see.”
