After yesterday’s bombshell announcement between CBS and ProElite, the UFC for the first time in a long time had their backs against the wall. Later in the day UFC.com was reporting that UFC President Dana White was going to make a ‘major announcement’ at 1PM ET today during the UFC 82 pre-fight press conference. That announcement was Bud Light’s sponsorship of the UFC.

Bud Light is now the official beer sponsor of the UFC (which unfortunately takes Micky’s out of the picture). The deal according to UFC.com is a three-year agreement that begins on May 24th at the UFC 84: Ill Will event from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On top of that, June 1st will also be the debut of Bud Light’s sponsorship of the WEC. If you didn’t know, ZUFFA owns the WEC as well as the UFC so the deal makes sense.
