The Fight Network has reported that Brandon “The Truth” Vera will be making his return at UFC 85 in London against Fabricio Werdum, in a fight that could be a #1 contender match for the UFC Heavyweight title. Vera is coming off of a devastating loss to Sylvia where he never really got anything going, while Werdum has two big wins under his belt over former champion Andrei Arlovski and most recently Gabriel Gonzaga.

Heavyweight contenders Brandon Vera and Fabricio Werdum are slated to square off at UFC 85 on Saturday, June 7 at the O2 Arena in London, The Fight Network has learned. No agreements have been signed, but the bout has been presented to both men, according to a source within one of their camps.

The UFC definitely has some work to do regarding their Heavyweight division though, because after Vera/Werdum all you have is Sylvia, Cheick Kongo, Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar as possible contenders. Mir is the only legitimate fighter that would deserve a title shot outside of Vera and Werdum.
