On the February 1, 2008 Inside MMA broadcast on HDNet, David “Tank” Abbott when asked a question about the all time greatest fighters made the following comments regarding Tito Ortiz: “Wrestlers for the most part are afraid to get hit. Look at Tito Ortiz he is basically a girl that runs from them when he’s on his feet – he’ll run the other way. All he does is a double leg takedown to hold you down and he doesn’t really fight.”

Abbott, a former UFC fighter, is getting ready to face Kimbo Slice at an Elite XC event on February 16, 2008. Abbott’s last fight was at Cage Rage 21 on April 21, 2007 where he lost to Gary Turner.
