UFC Lightweight Mark Bocek joins Xtreme Couture’s Canada gym

UFC Lightweight Mark Bocek joins Xtreme Couture’s Canada gym
According to DoghouseBoxing, UFC Lightweight fighter Mark Bocek has signed on to join the new Xtreme Couture gym in Canada. The gym will be Xtreme Couture’s first up north, and is slated to open in Toronto sometime in 2008.

MMA has always been big in Canada and now Couture is going to make sure that he’s involved in every step of the process with his new gym. Bocek is coming off of a victory at UFC 79 over Doug Evans and recently told 5thRound.com in a interview that we’ll be putting up shortly that, “I will be fighting Mac Danzig on April 19th in Montreal”.

April 19th will mark the UFC’s first foray into Canada. If you have ever been to a UFC event in Las Vegas when either Georges St. Pierre or Patrick Cote are fighting, they get the loudest ovations out of all the fighters not named Chuck Liddell or Randy Couture.

Doug Urch is the Co-Owner and Director of the Xtreme Couture gym and he had this to say, “we’re pleased to have a fighter of Mark’s stature working out of our 33,000 square foot mixed martial arts and fitness training facility”.

Bocek is one of Canada’s first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belts who got some training in for his recent fight from the Team Quest team out in Temecula, CA.
