Ben Askren was the nation's top wrestler in college and even made it to the United States national team during the 2008 Olympics. Now Askren is looking to make his mark in Mixed Martial Arts.
The Sun-Sentinel is reporting that Askren has signed a three-year contract with American Top Team to train there alongside guys like WEC Champion Mike Brown, Thiago Alves and Bobby Lashley.
Askren is also giving himself an opportunity to go back to Olympic wrestling for both the 2012 and 2016 games. He will be competing in the welterweight division at 170lbs.
