 Not to be outdone by Dana White and the UFC's 4-man heavyweight tournament featuring the winner of Randy Couture and Brock Lesnar against the winner of Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera, Affliction VP Tom Atencio announced yesterday the formation of a 4-man heavyweight tournament of their own; featuring the winner of Josh Barnett vs Gilbert Yvle against the winner of Fedor Emelianenko vs. Andrei Arlovski.
“We have Josh Barnett vs. Gilbert Yvle so whoever’s the winner of that fight will fight the winner of the Emelianenko/Arlovski fight. It's tournament style in a sense...it’s just the right guys in line in order to fight the best in the world,” stated Atencio at a news conference yesterday.
Some one needs to lock White and Antencio in a room and not let them out until they agree to combine their tournaments and let the winner of each, face one another.
