EliteXC: “Heat” live round-by-round Coverage:

Fight #5: Kimbo Slice vs. Seth Petruzelli

First Round: Kimbo comes out strong and and eats a huge punch from Petruzelli. Kimbo goes down! Petruzelli is all over him! This fight is over.

Fight #4: Elite XC Welterweight Champion Jake Shields vs. Paul Daley

First Round: The two men come out to a brief feeling out period. Shields shoots and is stuffed. He also eat a nice right on the sway in. The two men continue to exchange pot shots at center cage. Nice uppercut by Daley. Shields get a takedown. And is working hard and has Daley mounted! Daley is defending well though. Shields isn't landing anything significant so far but continues to pepper Daley with pot shots. Now shields has the hooks in and Daley is in a really compromised position. He's flattened out. Now Shields is landing some nice elbows. Daley has no answer for Shields. He's being overwhelmed by Shields superior ground skills. Shields going for an armbar! Now Daley is on top! He's landing some big punches and elbows. Round ends. I'd have to give that one to Shields 10-9.

Second Round: Big shot by Daley coming out of the gate. Now a huge left hook and Shields takes it to the ground. He goes for a heal hook and the two men are back on the feet. Daley lands another big left. Shields looks tired. He goes for takedown but Daley's defending well. Shields gets the takedown finally and mounts. Shields doesn't appear to have much of a ground and pound. He's not hurting Shields with any of his shots from the top. Now Daley smiles at him from the bottom of the mount. He doesn't look hurt at all. Shields is active in trying to work his position and look for subs. Now Shields gets the armbar! It's over! Daley taps. Good effort from Daley. He'd be a beast if he worked on his ground game.
