Last night, amid the events at "Strikeforce At The Playboy Mansion", it was announced that Renato "Babalu" Sobral has signed on to join the Strikeforce organization.

The announcement was made during the main event of the night between Gilbert Melendez and Tetsuji Kato.

Babalu last fought in the UFC , and was not re-signed after an incident inside the cage in which he held an anaconda choke long after a tap from opponent David Heath.
