The Ultimate Fighter 6 Makes Significant Changes

The Ultimate Fighter 6 Makes Significant Changes
Apparently, there will be some significant rule changes to the sixth installment of the popular Spike TV show. According to WrestlingObserver.com, winning coaches will not be able to pick the next match, a practice that was common in previous episodes. The first pick will decided by coin toss and subsequent picks will alternate each week irrespective of the outcome of the fight. The rule was likely put into place after BJ Penn’s team morale was clearly decimated in season 5 by a string of losses.

Also, Dana White will have absolutely no input in making the semifinal fights. The coach who racks up the most victories before the semi's will get control over both semifinal matches. This insures that victories still mean quite a bit, at least in the long term.

Catch the Debut on Wednesday, September 19 at 11:00 p.m. (EST.) on Spike TV.
