According to his manager Monte Cox, Tim Sylvia has signed a bout agreement to face Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 81. The bout will be for the vacant UFC Heavyweight Championship.

“Tim signed the contract, and we haven’t heard anything else about it -- if Nogueira has signed his contract or what,” said Cox. Cox also stated that Sylvia has already begun training for the fight.
