Contract details were not released, but the signing comes as a bit of a surprise considering the amount of complaints over Okami's fighting style; a style deemed boring by many fans and even some UFC officials.

There is no denying Okami's talent however, and keeping a fighter of Okami's caliber can only be considered a step in the right direction for the UFC's talent starved middleweight division.
