Dan Henderson Talks About His Upcoming Match Up With Anderson Silva

Dan Henderson Talks About His Upcoming Match Up With Anderson SilvaAs we reported earlier, Dana White announced after UFC 78 that Anderson Silva would face Dan Henderson for the UFC middlewieght title. They will meet on March 1 in Columbus, Ohio according to MMAWeekly. Dan Henderson is the current PRIDE middleweight title holder and once held both the PRIDE middleweight and light heavyweight titles simultaniously. He recently spoke with MMAWeekly and quickly touched on a variety of topics.

Henderson On Jumping Between Middleweight And Light Heavyweight:

I’m right in between the two weight classes. It’s pretty easy to cut the weight.

Henderson On Upcoming Opponent Anderson Silva:

He’s tough. He’s definitely proven that he’s a force to be reckoned with.

Henderson On His Status With The UFC:

I’m kind of in the twilight of my career, don’t have that many years left of fighting. I don’t want to jump around at all. I was in Pride for seven years, so I kind of like to stay where I’m at and build relationships that way.

Henderson On Moving Up Again To Light Heavyweight:

I would definitely want to fight for that title again. (I’ll) see what I’ve got to do to get back there.
