Dana White told members of the media earlier this week that Randy Couture recently sent him a text message asking if the two could work things out. According to White the message read: "Can't we all just get along?." White also mentioned that the two had a meeting planned for this coming Tuesday to discuss the situation and attempt to work things out.
Couture's agent made a statement the following day making it clear that no meeting had been set, but that the two would meet at UFC 78 to discuss things.
MMAFightline.com can confirm that the two men did met briefly at UFC 78 and will not meet next Tuesday. Apparently, they were supposed to meet this past Tuesday and White mistakenly thought it was this coming Tuesday, so he obviously didn't show, leaving Couture to believe that White blew off the meeting.
White joked that his communication skills have still not improved much and said that the two are planning on getting together after Thanksgiving.
