Mike Swick (10-2) announced through a myspace bulletin that he will be fighting in January on Spike TV. He says that he will reveal the name of his opponent once the deal is in place. It is likely that he'll be headlining a Fight Night Show planned for Jan. 23, but don't rule out an appearance at UFC 79 as the UFC is still debating putting that show on Spike via tape delay in January as well.
The fight could be Swick's first at 170. After losing a decision to Yushin Okami at UFC 69, Swick declared that he would drop to from middleweight to welterweight in hopes of challenging for a title.
