Second "Pitbull" Added To UFC 66: Liddell vs. Ortiz 2 By Matt Boone of MMANews.com

According to top Brazilian magazine "TATAME", American Top Team's Thiago "Pitbull" Alves will be the second of his breed to join the already loaded December UFC 66 "Liddell vs. Ortiz 2" card.

TATAME claims that Alves, who sports a winning record of 3-2 in the octagon (9-3 in all MMA) will clash horns with Tony DeSouza who is 3-1 in UFC (10-2 overall) at what is expected to be the biggest event in UFC history at "Liddell vs. Ortiz 2".

Also on the card this far: Chuck Liddell defends his Light Heavyweight title in a rematch against Tito Ortiz, the other Pitbull - Andrei Arlovski returns to battle Marcio "Pe De Pano", Forrest Griffin fights Keith Jardine and Chris Leben squares off with Jason MacDonald. Rumored for the card but yet to be announced officially is Nathan Marquardt vs. Dean Lister.

Breaking News: Melendez Out, French in at Bushido Wednesday, November 01, 2006 by Sherdog.com Staff

Sherdog.com on Wednesday was informed by MMA manager Monte Cox that Gilbert Melendez has been forced to withdraw from PRIDEs November 5 Bushido lightweight showdown against Shinya Aoki.

Cox-managed athlete Clay French will replace the Californian and do battle with the popular 23-year-old grappler.

French, who will make his overseas debut, brings an 8-1 record to the ring against the 7-2 Team Paraestra Tokyo fighter.
