UFC president Dana White let it be known that he isn’t happy about fighters missing weight.
Charles Oliveira, who scored a victory over Jeremy Stephens at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale Friday night, and Nate Diaz both missed weight for their bouts. Diaz battles Rafael dos Anjos later tonight at UFC on FOX 13.
For Oliveira, it’s just the latest in a series of issues since moving down to featherweight.
“If this keeps happening, we’re going to force you to move up to the next weight class,” said White, during the post-fight show on FOX Sports 1. “It’s a guy’s job to come in on weight. It’s not fair.”
Oliveira has missed the 145-pound mark twice, but has earned two “Performance of the Night” and a “Fight of the Night” since 2013. He is on a three-fight win streak overall, including two submission victories.
Diaz, meanwhile, was well over the 155-pound mark for his bout, weighing in at 160 pounds. This marks his return to action after a year-plus on the sidelines.
“The Nate Diaz thing is completely different,” White said. “He’s complaining about money, not showing up for appearances and he’s not making weight.
“I don’t know what to do with him.”
Diaz, a former No. 1 contender, did not show up earlier in the week for open workouts.
