The MMA Word mixed martial arts podcast returns this week after an epic rematch between Michael Chandler and Eddie Alvarez at Bellator 106, and with a week ahead of us featuring two UFC events. This week’s topics:

–Bellator 106 ended with three new champions for the promotion, in Daniel Straus, Emmanuel Newton, and Eddie Alvarez. I review the main card and give my thoughts on Bellator’s attempt at a pay-per-view worthy event.

–MMA Headlines: Josh Barnett has a (conditional) license to fight in Nevada, UFC 169 gets two title fights, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson draws Joey Beltran as his short notice Bellator debut opponent, and Little Nog pulls out of another fight.

–UFC Fight for the Troops goes down this Wednesday, and I give my thoughts on some of the fights on the main card, including the main event between Tim Kennedy and Rafael Natal.

–Just a few days after Fight Night 31, we are graced with the presence of UFC Fight Night 32, which is headlined by a light heavyweight fight between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson. I give my picks for the main card, which takes place on Saturday from Brazil.
