Former WEC bantamweight champ Miguel Torres will test out the featherweight division, as he’s taking on Pablo Alfonso at World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 6. Ali Abdel-Aziz, WSOF vice president, said Torres will decide after the fight if the move is permanent.
It will be the second time Torres competes for WSOF. He dropped a split-decision on their inaugural show to Marlon Moraes and hasn’t fought since. He was arrested in August on a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge.
Alfonso is 8-5, winning his last two. He’s spent time in Strikeforce, Jungle Fight and CFA.
WSOF 6 is October 26 and Torres-Alfonso are on the prelims. The main card airs live on the NBC Sports Network from the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, FL.
