They say you are not really a champion until you defend your title.
Miesha Tate looks to do just that Saturday night when she meets Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 for the bantamweight title.
Earlier this year, Tate submitted Holly Holm to win her first UFC belt, adding it to the one she collected while in Strikeforce.
“I’m defending what’s mine. I want to beat everyone,” she said, during a recent interview on UFC Tonight. “The first is Amanda. She’s hungry. She’s a passionate Brazilian fighter. I know what it takes to beat her.”
Tate believes that the Brazilian is “well-rounded,” which makes her the “biggest threat.”
“She’s finished people in many ways, so you just can’t pick out one threat,” she added.
