For the second straight time, Michael Page scored a quick finish inside the Bellator cage.

Page improved to 9-0 in his career and 5-0 with Bellator by stopping Charlie Ontiveros in the first round Friday night at Bellator 144. The stoppage victory was the eighth in his career.

“I know I can finish anyone. I know I don’t have to prove anything. I hope he’s okay, I’m sorry I finished it like that, but you know I like to impress people,” Page said. “It’s down to Bellator and my coaches as to what happens next, but whoever they put in front of me the same thing is going to happen.”

The Brit connected with elbows while Ontiveros was on the ground, prompting the referee to stop it. Upon replay, it appeared to look as if Ontiveros suffered a broken jaw from the shots.

Page knocked out Rudy Bears this past July after going the distance with Nah-Shon Burrell in 2014. He’s also scored victories over Ricky Rainey and Ryan Sanders.
