Michael Bisping will head to the doctor’s office Tuesday to have his injured eye looked at.
Bisping was forced to remove himself from a planned main event fight with Mark Munoz for October after suffering the injury in training. He was looking to compete in front of his home fans in England vs. Munoz.
“Thanks (everyone) for the kind positive messages I’m receiving,” Bisping posted on Twitter. “The support has been overwhelming. I’m a lucky guy. See the doc in the morning.”
Bisping suffered a detached retina before his fight this past January with Vitor Belfort. He went on to face Belfort and Alan Belcher before undergoing surgery, according to the fighter himself during an appearance on The MMA Hour Monday.
“The Count” seemed fine after the operation, but experienced issues again last week. He was told the retina had become re-detached.
