Dan Henderson has a devastating knockout punch.
Michael Bisping knows that better than most, as the reigning UFC middleweight champion was on the receiving end back at UFC 100.
“The Count” gets his chance at revenge tonight when he meets Henderson at UFC 204.
“He’s a one-trick pony,” said Bisping, during a recent appearance on UFC Tonight. “He doesn’t wrestle anymore. He looks for that big right hand. You know he’s looking for it. And you know he’s lethal. He’s got good timing and speed with it. All I’ve got to do is avoid the right hand.”
Earlier this year, Bisping finished Luke Rockhold to win the belt. While he has no issues facing any of the top contenders in the 185-pound division, becoming champion provided the Brit with a chance to ask for a rematch vs. Henderson.
“I’m going to make a mess out of him in the first round,” he said. “I’ll wait until he slows down in the second and I put the volume up, and the third he’s going to be predictable, I’m going to see those punches coming from a mile away, and that’s when I’ll finish him.”
