Megumi Fujii Retirement Bout Ends With A Doctor Stoppage

Megumi Fujii didn’t have that perfect career ending moment. Her pre-announced retirement bout against Jessica Aguilar was stopped by the doctor due to an eye injury. Aguilar was awarded the second round stoppage win.

The 39-year-old turned pro in 2004 and retires at 26-3. She posted 19 submissions. It was the second time Fujii was handed a defeat from Aguilar.

Aguilar made her first appearance since Bellator ended their women’s division.

Vale Tudo Japan 3rd was October 5. It came from the Ota City General Gymnasium in Japan.
