UFC featherweight Matt Grice has been taken off sedation medication and is breathing on his own, following a car accident earlier in the month.
His manager Daniel Rubenstein said the fighter is responding to verbal cues, while displaying movement in his arms and legs.
The accident occurred when Grice was struck from behind at a red light in Oklahoma. The MMA fighter and police officer underwent emergency brain surgery the day of the accident.
