M-1 Challenge Results: Emeev Claims Middleweight Title

Former M-1 Challenge middleweight champion Ramasan Emeev took back the title Saturday at M-1 Challenge 56, submitting Vyacheslav Vasilevsky in the first round.

Emeev locked up a rear-naked choke at the 1:47 mark of the opening round, improving to 12-3 and avenging a 2014 loss to the now-previous champion. Vasilevsky falls to 26-3 with the loss.

In other action from Moscow, Ivan Buchinger finished Aliyar Sarkerov and Javier Fuentas earned a submission over Niko Kaushansky.
