UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta took his turn in the hot seat on a recent edition of “UFC Tonight,” fielding questions on an array of subjects.
Fertitta focused on the plan to implement randomized drug testing for all 500 athletes on the UFC’s roster, but he also discussed his relationship with UFC president Dana White, the star power of Conor McGregor, women’s MMA and invading Mexico.
Fertitta and White have had a long relationship, helping build the UFC into a multi-million dollar establishment. While the two have their own ideas, Fertitta admitted they work pretty well together.
“We don’t disagree on business things very often. We’ll have a spirited debate, but we come to a compromise,” he said. “One of our last debates was I was convinced that Roy Nelson would take down Mark Hunt, but he said no, it was going to be a stand up war. Just little stuff like that.”
