Leonard Garcia is hoping another win for Legacy FC will have the UFC take a double look at the featherweight.
“Getting this winning streaking going with the UFC watching could help my homecoming back with them,” said Garcia to MMA Weekly. “Wins are important, so if [the UFC] wants me to get another one, I will.”
It took five consecutive defeats before the UFC severed ties with Garcia. In his first appearance since the release, he took a third round finish of Rey Trujillo. Garcia will look to start his win streak against Nick Gonzalez.
Gonzalez is 1-1 for the promotion. He’s spent time for Bellator and Strikeforce.
Legacy FC 23 is later today, September 13. It comes from the Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio, TX and the main card airs live on AXS TV.
